The project
A sustainable approach
Planning consent for the 85,000 sqft office building was granted in early 2023 as the project was unfolding. A full refurbishment and two-storey extension will transform the building, with sustainability at the centre of the redesign. Once complete in Q4 2024, 21 Bloomsbury Street will be one of the UK's most sustainable office buildings..
Works were split into three phases to comply with Camden Council planning consents.
Operating strictly within these parameters, General Demolition undertook strip out, demolition and enabling works across all seven storeys as well at roof level.
